TIME FOR ELECTRONIC VOTING
CANADIANS WITH DISABILITIES HAVE NO RIGHTS TO VOTE?

Canada's Human Rights Tribunal issued a ruling on Friday, to Elections Canada to make the polling sites across Canada more accessible to voters with disabilities.

In the last election, March 2008, Peter Hughes, arrived at a polling station using a walker and was shocked to see that the polling station was located at the bottom of a long flight of stairs.

His was determined to exercise his right to vote, so he sat on the stairs and went down on the seat of his pants, while someone carried his walker.

He complained to Elections Canada staff, who advised him to exit from a door and walk up a snow-covered ramp.  After filing this complaint, unhappy with their handling of his complaint, he decided to bring his complaint to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal.

WITH THE ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM THAT THE CENTRAL PARTY OF CANADA WOULD WORK TO GET IMPLIMENTED INTO OUR ELECTORAL SYSTEM, THIS WOULD PROTECT RIGHTS TO VOTE

HARPER BREAKS PROMISE TO REFORM SENATE

Canadians want to be allowed to directly elect their senators, approximately 67% according to the Angus Reid poll conducted February 2010. Why have the federal political powers not move forward to reform the senate?  Prime Minister promised to make these changes during his position in the opposition, and made very little progress when he came to power, why?

Prime Minister had no intentions to reform the senate.  Harper prologue Parliament hoping that Canadians would not notice, and immediately appointed 5 conservative senators.  Harper has made sure by appointing these senator that his conservative party controls the senate, with 51 of the upper house seats of 105.

The opposition Liberals as well have no intention to reform the senate, as prior to Harper appointing the latest 5 senators, the senate was dominated by Liberal senators.

It will have to take constitution debates, agreements, amendments with all of the provinces to make the reforms necessary to have the citizens of Canada given their rights to elect their senators.

HARPER GOVERNMENT INSULTS CANADA FLAG  WITH A 12 PACK OF MOLSON "CANADIAN" BEER. ON CBC POWER AND POLITICS PROGRAM : 15 FEB 2010

The Conservatives sent a 12 pack of MOLSON CANADIAN BEER to the political program POWER & POLITICS  on NATIONAL FLAG DAY.  The case and bottles were reliable to poke at Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff. The also had T shirts printed up showing Ignatieff holding up a bottle of re-labled beer, with the slogan HAPPY BEER LABLE DAY CANADA.

This was not taken well by some Canadians. It was offensive to National Flag Day, the flag, and to the national pride that most Canadians have in saying that they are Canadian.  It hit at the Canadian pride, at the time of the Olympics.

Their disrespect for Canada's flag on it's anniversary caused the Joseph Bonnevie, co-founder of the Central Party of Canada to complain to MOLSON CANADIAN and CBC.

Head Office of MOLSON CANADIAN, looked into the matter and assured Joseph Bonnevie that they had not been aware of the mis-use of their brand name beer.  There has been no response from CBC.

The Conservatives in celebrating Canada's NATIONAL FLAG DAY, on it's anniversary sent a 12 pack of MOLSON CANADIAN which was re-labled, bottles re-labled along with T shirts showing Liberal Leader holding a bottle of beer.  THEY COULD HAVE AT LEAST SENT A 24 PACK.

How low can this party go to get political points?  Joseph Bonnevie who was on Parliament Hill when the Canadian Flag was first hosted on Canadian soil  in 1964 was not happy with the Conservatives making jest on NATIONAL FLAG DAY.   The Conservative have no respect for NATIONAL FLAG DAY, no respect for the trade name of the brewing company MOLSON CANADIAN.

Parliament is prorogued, and the Conservatives are up to wasting time and Canadian tax dollars for their own political gains.  Joseph Bonnevie also mentioned to MOLSON  that at least they could have sent a 24 pack, instead of a 12 pack.
